Nigeria: Court Strikes out EFCC N6.6bn Case against Ex-Governor Goje

The Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State has discharged the former Governor of Gombe State, Senator Danjuma Goje of 19 counts charges of the 21 leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in which he was accused of misappropriating N6.6 billion. However, the Court found him liable on counts 8 and 9 which border on auction of 50 units of Toyota vehicles, without recourse to laid procedures of passing through Tender’s Board.
